Undergraduate senior fashion collection titled 'Unless'. Awarded 1st Place.

Inspired by the environmental message behind Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, I wanted to conceptualize a hyperbolic glance into a dystopian future where careless fast fashion corporations have impacted the planet catastrophically. How I imagined these imperfect citizens would dress reflects the over-exploitation of the environment and the resulting societal collapse.

When creating this collection, the most challenging thing for me was not only staying true to my desire for everything to be unisex but also deciding how I wished to reinterpret a children’s book through the creation of clothing. I love peering at the idea of the future for inspiration and my twisted take on this children’s book I believe still emphasizes the important message of how we should treat our planet better or catastrophe awaits.
